Job Description
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Associate Director, Community Engagement is a dynamic and people-centered leadership role within our company's Finance Digital Office, responsible for building, activating, and sustaining a thriving digital community across a global finance organization of over 1,000 employees. This individual will design and lead engagement programs that connect finance professionals around shared learning, digital adoption, and emerging technology; creating the community infrastructure through which the FDO's transformation agenda comes to life. The ideal candidate is an energetic connector and communicator who brings finance domain knowledge, a talent for program design, and a genuine passion for bringing people together around ideas that matter. This is a highly visible, influence-driven role requiring equal parts strategic vision and hands-on execution.
COMMUNITY BUILDING & ACTIVATION
• Design and lead the FDO's community engagement strategy, creating forums, networks, and touchpoints that connect finance professionals around digital transformation topics
• Own and evolve the FDO's Lunch & Learn program: from speaker sourcing and content curation to facilitation and post-session follow-up, ensuring each session delivers tangible value
• Establish and nurture a Finance Digital Community of Practice, providing a home for digital champions, early adopters, and interested practitioners across the global finance organization
• Create and manage digital engagement channels (e.g., Teams communities, SharePoint hubs, newsletters) that keep the finance population informed, inspired, and connected to FDO initiatives
• Develop and run onboarding experiences for new finance employees that build digital fluency from day one
LEARNING & ENABLEMENT PROGRAMS
• Design structured learning pathways and role-based enablement programs covering tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Python in Excel, Power BI, and other emerging finance technologies
• Develop professional-quality training materials including slide decks, how-to guides, demo videos, and quick reference resources that meet finance professionals where they are
• Collaborate with IT, HR, and Center of Excellence partners to align community learning programs with enterprise strategy and technology roadmaps
• Research and curate external content, vendor training resources, and best practices in finance digital literacy to keep the community curriculum fresh and forward-looking
• Build and maintain a digital content library accessible to all finance employees, organized by role, tool, and skill level
ENGAGEMENT & ADOPTION MEASUREMENT
• Define and track key metrics related to community participation, training completion, tool adoption, and digital fluency maturity across the finance organization
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards that give FDO and finance leadership real-time visibility into engagement program health and impact
• Conduct periodic sentiment surveys and capability assessments to identify gaps, prioritize content investments, and demonstrate community value
• Synthesize engagement data into compelling narratives and present findings to FDO leadership on a regular cadence
CHANGE MANAGEMENT & COMMUNICATIONS
• Serve as the FDO's primary voice and storyteller: crafting communications, campaigns, and messaging that build excitement and buy-in for digital transformation across the finance organization
• Design and execute change management programs for new tool rollouts, including readiness assessments, adoption playbooks, and targeted outreach to high-impact user groups
• Partner with finance leaders, IT, and HR to ensure engagement programs are grounded in business need and championed at the local level
• Identify, develop, and support a network of digital champions embedded within finance teams who help sustain community momentum between formal programs
STRATEGIC EVENTS & EXPERIENCES
• Plan and execute FDO-sponsored events including innovation showcases, digital transformation town halls, and hands-on tool workshops
• Manage relationships with technology vendors (e.g., Microsoft, Databricks, SAP) to bring curated external perspectives, demos, and speakers to the finance community
• Develop and manage a forward-looking calendar of engagement touchpoints that maintains community energy and aligns with FDO initiative milestones throughout the year
