Job Summary

The Assistant Vice President, National Accounts Core Client Management leads the client management strategy, performance, and experience for the National Accounts (5,000+ lives) segment across the Core product portfolio (Life, Disability, GSI, Leave Services, Dental, Vision). Reporting to the Senior Vice President, National Accounts Sales and Client Management, this role is accountable for retention, persistency, and profitable growth through a best-in-class client management model.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development and execution of a scalable, specialized, and differentiated national client management strategy.
  • Driving strategies and processes to achieve targeted retention and persistency outcomes.
  • Partnering with Sales, Underwriting, and Product leaders to enhance customer value and identify add-line opportunities.
  • Leading a diverse, high-performing organization, cultivating a culture of accountability and client-focused excellence.
  • Fostering strong, trust-based partnerships across key functions to deliver consistent client experience.
  • Serving as a visible market leader and subject matter expert for the Core product portfolio in the large case segment.

Skills and Background You’ll Need

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (required)
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or related discipline (preferred)

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in client management or account management within group insurance, employee benefits, or a related field
  • Experience leading large, multi-tiered teams supporting complex national clients
  • Proven success in developing and executing client retention and service strategies for large case markets
  • Demonstrated leadership in evolving or modernizing client service models to meet up market expectations
  • Prior leadership accountability for a national accounts client management organization (preferred)
  • Experience overseeing both home office and field-based client service models (preferred)
  • Experience with both fully insured and self-funded benefits arrangements (preferred)

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • General office/flexibility-first environment with extended periods of computer use and occasional travel for business meetings, conferences, and client engagements
  • Regular travel may be required

PROFESSIONAL LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION:

  • None required
  • Life & Health insurance license; CEBS, FLMI, or CPDM designations preferred

  • Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on a variety of factors including individual and organizational performance.

  • Performance guarantees may be applied to roles with highly incentivized compensation plans for a specified period of time to support a new hire’s transition into the sales incentive plan.

Compensation is made up of a base salary, incentives, and/or other bonuses when applicable. This is a minimum range that can be increased based on performance and sales activity.

Salary Range:

Base $200,000+ DOE, Incentive Program
