Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong
The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Key person in charge of the coordination and compilation of bank-wide risk reporting to Board-level Credit & Risk Management Committee meetings, and follow-up on action items from the meetings, minutes preparation, etc.
Responsible for the continuous enhancements of the Bank’s enterprise risk management framework, including policies, guidelines / procedures, risk assessment and reporting, risk delegation authority, etc.
Manage and timely follow up with onsite or offsite regulatory review, audit examinations, and questionnaire from credit agencies
Assist the review and enhancement of the Risk Appetite Statement (“RAS”) and Risk Appetite Framework (“RAF”), ICAAP and ensure communication and implementation with the respective risk management functions
Act as the risk management function for strategic risk management for the Bank Group, including develop, review, enhance and perform regular risk assessment, monitoring, reporting and escalation. Review and comment on new product and regular product review from strategic risk perspective.
Being an in-scope staff under the ECF-GSF framework, assist and support the climate risk management for the Bank Group, with continual initiatives rolling out to meet the ever-evolving regulatory landscape
Provide ad hoc support as assigned, particularly in the capacity of person-in-charge for matters applicable to Risk Management Group as a whole.
Requirements:
Degree holder in Business, Economics, Finance, Risk Management or related disciplines.
Minimum 5-8 years’ of experience in enterprise risk management, climate risk, strategic risk, preferably gained in banking industry.
Experience in enterprise risk, risk appetite, and ICAAP and related regulations and controls is an advantage.
Familiar with relevant HKMA SPM, risk management related regulations and requirements, particularly on risk management framework and governance.
Self-motivated, independent and able to communicate effectively at all levels. Strong stakeholder management, and management reporting skills to ensure timely delivery of Board-level materials with quality.
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
