PURPOSE
- This role is responsible for design and deliver group wide Agency strategy with a focus on uplifting agents’ productivity and overall channel profitability to achieve ambitious business growth objectives.
- Tapping on the growth potential of the Asian life insurance markets where we operate, we established Agency channel in several countries contributing increasing portion of the overall business growth.
- Quickly enhance agents’ productivity, with support from other initiatives, is critical to our sustainable growth. Continuously and significantly increase our No. of MDRT and ELITE Agent qualifiers is essential to differentiate and sustain our business growth.
- This role is a core part of Group Agency & FA Team and supporting overall Group Distribution business objectives.
KEY ACCOUNTAIBILITIES
- Significantly increase Agency channel VNB through enhancing agent’s activity and productivity with continuously optimizing product portfolios and solutions
- Collaborating with Group Distribution and other stakeholders to deliver groupwide strategic plan for Agency channels
- Guide LBUs to promote MDRT and performance culture across region to effectively develop MDRT or ELITE Agent (Half of MDRT Qualification) across markets
- Guide LBUs to design and implement effective Agency sales proposition, process and model
- Guide LBUs to design and implement Agency ongoing training strategy and roadmap
- Lead cross-function initiatives to continuously design and implement digital solutions that enhance agency activity and productivity
- Monitor and review Agency channel performance, especially for active agents and productivity, and provide timely analytics, business insights and strategic guidance and tactical support to deliver business targets
- Ready to provide day-to-day or onsite business management leadership to channels upon LBUs’ request
- Facilitate best practices sharing across countries and lead to build up leadership and performance management capability for LBUs
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE
- University degree or above, and majored in Business, Commerce, Actuary, or equivalent is preferred
- At least 10 years' leadership experience and track records in life insurance sector; Leadership of an Agency channel in an Asian country level is a plus
- Profound experience in strategic planning, insurance Agency sales and management
- Competencies in Agency management with deep knowledge in Agency compensation, Agency sales promotion, MDRT culture promotion, agency recruitment, etc.
- Experience and knowledge in industry digital trends, best practices and business models
- High standard of business ethics
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Understanding of the insurance industry, including current and emerging business models
- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with strong business acumen
- Strong communication skill, influential e and persuasive, particularly with C-level stakeholders
- Demonstrate maturity, and possesses transformational mindset and keen awareness of corporate dynamics and HQs environment.
- Able and willing to work independently and act as team lead in a cross-functional environment.
- Good understanding of project management methodologies, framework, and standards.
