How you’ll make an impact

Leverage your expertise in commercial and small business lending, credit analysis and risk mitigation to lead strategic growth in agribusiness and agri-food markets.

As an Assistant Vice-President, you’ll guide regional sales, underwriting and administration teams to deliver a cohesive sales strategy, elevate underwriting quality and strengthen customer relationships. Your strong leadership and deep financial knowledge will help drive operational excellence and business growth.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and coach commercial and small business lenders, analysts and managers on credit processes, compliance and deal development

  • Oversee underwriting quality and ensure alignment with credit risk, lending policies and risk tolerance

  • Direct sales administration to ensure accurate, complete documentation supporting the lending process

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to grow market presence and drive deal flow

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, business partners and industry stakeholders

  • Identify business opportunities, set sales objectives and manage loan portfolio performance

What you’ll bring to the team

Required qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field or discipline

  • At least 10 years of related experience, including commercial and small business lending

  • Experience leading and developing a sales team in a formal leadership role

  • Extensive knowledge of commercial financing, credit risk analysis and portfolio management

  • Proven expertise in relationship management and commercial financing strategies, including collaboration with internal and external partners

  • Experience applying credit mitigation strategies and evaluating complex lending opportunities

Preferred qualifications:

  • An MBA or professional accreditation (CA, CGA, CFA)

  • Experience with high-end commercial portfolios, including recovery and consolidation

  • Experience in the agribusiness and agri-food industry
