Job Title: Assistant Transition Manager

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Transition Manager to oversee and manage the execution of site-level transition activities as part of our broader SMP (Separation Management Plan).

In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and driving the localized implementation of complex transition plans tied to the divestiture or separation of Aftermarket operations, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations, operational requirements, and global program strategy. Acting as the key site liaison, you will coordinate between central program teams, technical experts, and local site leadership to ensure all separation activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with business and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of SMP transition activities at the site level, ensuring alignment with overall program strategy and timelines.

  • Act as the primary site point of contact for all SMP-related transition efforts, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

  • Coordinate with site leadership, engineering, operations, supply chain, quality, and EHS teams to ensure readiness and support for transition activities.

  • Track and manage site-specific milestones, deliverables, and risks; escalate issues as needed to ensure resolution and program continuity.

  • Facilitate site-based planning sessions, technical reviews, and readiness assessments to ensure all functional areas are prepared for transition execution.

  • Ensure all data, documentation, and assets are prepared in accordance with contractual obligations, Global Trade and program requirements, and customer expectations.

  • Support the transfer of products, processes, and knowledge to receiving sites, while minimizing disruption to site operations and customer commitments.

  • Maintain clear and accurate site-level documentation, trackers, and status reports to support visibility and transparency across stakeholders.

  • Provide regular updates to site leadership on site readiness, risk status, and critical path activities.

  • Champion adherence to safety, compliance, and quality standards throughout the transition process.

  • Support onsite visits, audits, or meetings related to the SMP transition, including interactions with internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Learn:

  • Customer driven strategic projects that will require agile solutions.

  • Effective execution of a contractual separation agreement between two large aerospace companies.

  • Creative pivotal resolutions for complex customer and supplier relationships.

Requirements:

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

  • Flexible and ability to adapt to multi-cultural and quick changing environment

  • Ability to work independently and across multiple time zones, when required

  • Ability to learn and work with new and diverse technologies

  • Strong interpersonal skill

  • Able to multi-task with a “can-do” attitude.

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Good proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Engineering degree or technical background

  • Aerospace program management experience

  • Experience with Collins Actuation products
