We are looking for an Assistant Training Manager who will be responsible for leading a group of learning specialists and will be responsible for the quality training delivery of the team they will lead, ensuring that standard training practices are implemented, and Operation’s needs are addressed. Being in a leadership position, the Assistant Training Manager will also manage the learning specialists' performance through performance monitoring, coaching and feedback, and supporting their professional developmental needs. The successful candidate must have exceptional relationship management skills, strong leadership abilities, and the ability to apply the L&D principles and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of learning & development specialists from different locations
Manage training demands and intake to allocate needed resources
Guide team members to develop and implement training plans
Collaborate effectively with global stakeholders and subject matter experts to deliver quality training programs
Conduct training needs analyses and analyze learning that will lead to meaningful insights
Investigate learning gaps and recommend action plans to leadership
Identify potential risks to learning quality and leverage insights to develop mitigations
Active participation in business projects to ensure learning outcomes are understood for the training audience
Set clear performance expectations; prepare effective performance plans and reward people for good performance; step forward to address difficult issues
Provide team members with monthly performance feedback on service, quality and productivity
Assess strengths and development needs of team members; allocate time and resources for development; provide coaching to cultivate personal accountability and ownership; ensure that each team member has an active development plan
Assist team members with complex and escalated cases
Job Requirements:
Must have at least one year tenure in their current position
At least 3 years extensive experience in learning and development field
Proven record of solid performance and being a high performer
Well-versed in current and evolving adult learning best practices, strategies and methodologies.
Ability to identify root cause of issues and takes the necessary steps to solve larger problems
Ability to quantitively define and measure learning outcomes to track the effectiveness of learning deliverables
Leadership experience and deep understanding of GWAM Retirement Operations are advantage
Decision Authorities:
• Full resource management responsibility
• Decision making for hiring, terminating, training/developing and compensation changes for the team
• Make timely and sound decisions that consider financial integrity and customer satisfaction
• Prioritize work deliverables and align internal resources to meet project timelines
• Review / Approve training requests
