Basic Job function
- Enthusiastically represents the company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
- Coordinates and performs tasks necessary to maintain the appearance of exhibits and holding pools by performing the following duties.
- Prepares and reviews area work schedules.
Principal duties
- Maintains all records on equipment, maintenance and daily dive longs.
- Responsible for maintaining machinery and associated dive equipment by ensuring service calls on repairs are made.
- Assists in the coordination of preventive maintenance program and spare parts inventory.
- Ensures proper operation of the compressed breathing air compressor.
- Responsible for the coordination and service of all ozone contact chambers.
- Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; training team members, planning, assisting and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Must stay current on all OSHA dive regulations.
- Utilizes safe handling, storage and disposal practices for toxic substance and hazardous waste in accordance with SeaWorld and department operating procedures.
Required Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Training
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have an Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Must have four years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license; visiting students and military must have a valid driver’s license from state of residency and able to provide a copy of the DMV report.
- Must be C.P.R., First Aid and Open Water certified.
- Must be current and trained on all applicable company safety training.
- Must have basic computer skills in Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must have strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Must have the ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or team members.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
