Being an Assistant Store Manager with AG Warehouse:

We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in the day‑to‑day operations of our Smithton store. This is a hands‑on role focused on supporting the team, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring smooth store operations.

You’ll act as the Store Manager’s key support, helping lead the team on the shop floor, maintaining strong customer relationships, and stepping into the Store Manager role when required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Store Manager with daily store operations and team leadership

  • Assist with stock control, inventory management, and supplier coordination

  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers

  • Provide high‑quality sales support and product advice in a rural retail setting

  • Assist with implementing policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Step into the Store Manager role during periods of absence

About You:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in retail, sales, or merchandising (rural or agricultural retail preferred)

  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills

  • Practical understanding of stock control and store operations

  • Confident, reliable, and comfortable working in a hands‑on environment

  • Certificate in retail, sales, merchandising, frontline management, or equivalent (preferred)
