We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Service Manager, Lifestyles to support high‑quality services for adults, teenagers, and young people with disability across our Greater Western Sydney region.

About the Role

Primarily based at our Prairiewood and Liverpool Centres, you’ll also play a key role in supporting our broader Lifestyles programs. This includes clients accessing Day Programs and Daily Living supports across our Centres, SIL homes, and within the community.

Working closely with the Service Managers, you will contribute to the operational leadership of our services, ensuring supports are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with client goals. You will help guide teams of Disability Support Practitioners, assist with service development, and champion high‑quality, person‑centred practice across multiple sites.

You will be a visible, hands‑on leader—building strong relationships with clients, families, and staff, and contributing to continuous improvement across the Lifestyles service stream.

Key Responsibilities

Service & Program Support

  • Collaborate with the Service Managers to enhance and develop Lifestyles services.
  • Support the delivery of high‑quality, safe, and compliant programs across centre‑based, community, and youth services.
  • Contribute to service reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and innovative program design.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for service growth and improved client outcomes.

People Leadership & Development

  • Mentor and empower Disability Support Practitioners through training, coaching, and professional development.
  • Help build a positive, collaborative, high‑performing team culture.
  • Support staff with decision‑making, reflective practice, and day‑to‑day guidance.
  • Assist with onboarding, supervision, and capability development.

Client, Family & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Deliver compassionate, person‑centred support to individuals with disability.
  • Build strong, respectful relationships with clients, families, guardians, and external partners.
  • Champion a family‑inclusive, rights‑based approach to service delivery.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels.

Operational & Business Support

  • Assist with rostering, resource allocation, and administrative processes.
  • Maintain accurate support and healthcare plans in collaboration with health professionals.
  • Support incident reporting, compliance requirements, and organisational training standards.
  • Contribute to smooth day‑to‑day operations and effective service delivery.

About You

  • You are a confident, proactive, and compassionate leader who brings both heart and initiative to your work. You understand the disability sector, value person‑centred practice, and are passionate about empowering people to live meaningful, self‑directed lives.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively, adapting to changing priorities, and contributing fresh ideas that enhance service quality.

What You Will Bring

  • A strong passion for the disability sector and a commitment to making a positive impact.
  • A minimum of 2 years leadership experience supporting larger teams of specialised staff.
  • Experience working with teenagers and youth (highly regarded).
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to change.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • An innovative, solutions‑focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in disability services or a related field.
  • Qualifications in disability or community services (preferred but not essential).
