The Assistant Research Scientist is responsible for the studies of immunotherapy for various diseases. Compiles and prepares data for publication and presentation at scientific meetings.

Required education and experience:
Appropriate PhD and relevant professional research experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Experience with bacterial pathogens.
Responsibilities:
Conducts independent research that applies molecular biological principles to elucidate biological mechanisms and/or discover novel interventions for treating human or animal disease, especially infectious diseases.
Experiments will exploit microbiologic and immunologic approaches.
Analyzes data, prepares statistical analyses, and summarizes data for use in submission to journals and other scientific publications or grant applications.
Performs computer data entry and analysis using statistical software.
Writes, submits and publishes manuscripts in high impact journals as well as presenting research findings at national and international scientific meetings.
Mentors trainees in the laboratory, ensure proper research compliance and Biosafety practices are followed.
Trains other research support staff and provides oversight for the management of laboratory functions such as safety issues, inventory, ordering supplies and equipment, and general lab cleanup as appropriate.
