Job Summary: You will serve as a ASSISTANT PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT (NUCLEAR) in the Nuclear Regional Maintenance Department-Guam of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the Assistant Project Superintendent (Nuclear) for various projects such as submarine and ship availabilities or facilities, tooling, radioactive material (RAM) handling, storage or disposal, and equipment projects.
  • You will be responsible for planning, managing, executing, and completing the nuclear work assigned to meet established standards of safety, quality, and within cost estimate and scheduled deadlines and target dates.
  • You will participate in and conduct long-range, intermediate, and emergent planning for the department's overall goals, determine availability of manpower resources, facilities requirements, and other support functions to accomplishment the mission.
  • You will administratively and technically provide direct supervision to Nuclear Production Project Managers and indirectly supervise Nuclear General Foreman and Military personnel through subordinate supervisors.
  • You will plan and schedule workload in order to meet deadlines and ensures an even flow of work for the unit.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing and overseeing the planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work applicable to ship availability. Planning, scheduling and execution of nuclear production work in conjunction with the overhaul, repair, modification and conversion of nuclear ships. Managing production workers and project management teams. Developing technical specification, quality control and assurance procedures, test requirement, inspection and radiological priorities and policies. Experience with technical specifications and understand work practices associated with the overhaul, repair, modification of Nuclear Ships.
