What you’re responsible for

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing construction projects from start to finish. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the coordination and management of all project phases, including planning, execution, and closeout.
  • Collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
  • Assisting in preparing project schedules, budgets, and work plans.
  • Monitoring project progress, tracking milestones, and updating project documentation.
  • Supporting procurement efforts, including tracking materials and equipment deliveries.
  • Helping to manage subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Conducting site visits to aid with inspections, meetings, and quality control activities.
  • Helping to address any issues or changes that arise during construction, ensuring timely resolutions.
  • Preparing and distributing regular project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Aiding with the project financials, including invoice approvals and budget tracking.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of project management processes and practices.

Your Experience & sills

  • A University degree in construction management, engineering, architecture or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction, project management, or a similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Ability to use project management software such as Procore, MS Project, or similar tools.
  • Basic understanding of construction processes, methods, and safety standards.
  • Ability to work on-site as needed and attend project meetings.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
