Retail Banking Services (RBS) is the public face of CommBank, responsible for delivering a seamless banking experience to over 10 million customers. Within RBS, Everyday Products is focussed on building innovative and value creating everyday products for all Australians. It is our role to drive sustainable growth of everyday transaction account products by delivering exceptional experiences for customers.

Reporting to the Everyday Products Chapter Lead, this Assistant Product Manager will play a key role in the Everyday Products squad supporting the day-to-day management of CommBank’s everyday transaction account products. This includes maintaining, simplifying and enhancing our products. As a member of the squad, you will support the Product Owner in executing initiatives to deliver against our business priorities, including delighting our customers with brilliant experiences and ensuring changes are safely executed.

More specifically, you will:

  • Be responsible for end to end product management of transaction account products 
  • Manage execution of product initiatives that drive Net Promotor Score (NPS) outcomes and sustainable growth of everyday transaction account products, building stakeholder relationships and navigating governance frameworks to do so
  • Proactively identify opportunities to simplify and improve processes
  • Proactively identify, understand and manage risks across the business
  • Manage and execute our operational and monitoring controls, to ensure our products are operating as designed, including fees and interest accuracy
  • Monitor the external environment, including competitors, economic trends, technology changes and regulatory changes
  • Support the Product Owner in delivery of strategic items on the product roadmap and other BAU activities

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • Previous work experience in banking or financial services preferred
  • Customer obsession at your core
  • Strong communication, stakeholder and influencing skills
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, coupled with an ability to balance strategic objectives, risk, customer and business outcomes
  • A growth mindset and high learning agility
  • Risk mindset – all CommBank employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
  • Tertiary qualification in a business or related field preferred
