Job Title: Assistant, Press & Media Strategy
A little bit about our team:
The AMG Press & Media Strategy team is a group of strategists and storytellers, responsible for shaping and sharing the narratives of AMG’s iconic artists and entrepreneurial initiatives. The department is fast-paced, collaborative, and passionate about securing meaningful and impactful coverage, maximizing client visibility, and crafting effective awards strategy campaigns. The team is committed to providing a fresh perspective to departmental strategy and finding new ways to adapt to the evolving press landscape. The Press & Media Strategy Assistant is a vital backbone of this operation, providing essential support to the department’s publicists.
Your role:
In this role, you will provide administrative support to our press and media strategy team, working across every facet of a publicity campaign. From drafting key press materials, compiling and disseminating press coverage, communicating with label and artist teams, scheduling meetings, and providing on-site event support, this role offers entry-level experience in music publicity at one of the top record labels. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented, quick thinker with a passion for music and PR strategy, this is your chance to contribute to campaigns for some of the industry’s most dynamic artists in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment.
Here you’ll get to:
You will oversee and maintain departmental organization, ensuring all press materials, files, contact lists, event calendars, and digital assets are up to date and accessible
You will compile and distribute key press materials, including coverage roundups, press releases, company media alerts, etc.
You will schedule internal and external department meetings and coordinate event logistics for the press team
You will arrange and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and departmental budget tracking with meticulous attention to detail
You will provide administrative support as-needed for on-site publicity events (photo shoots, awards shows, on-site media activations, etc.)
You will communicate and collaborate cross-functionally with other AMG departments and artist teams
About you:
You are highly organized, process-oriented, and self-sufficient
You have a strong attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines
You have strong time management skills and can operate from a to-do list
You are proficient in organizational tools (e.g., Google Suite, Airtable, etc.)
You enjoy working collaboratively and can communicate well in team settings
You are passionate about the music industry and publicity
We’d love it if you also had:
Bachelor's Degree Required
1-2 years of relevant PR or administrative experience (including relevant internship experience)
Knowledge of Google Suite platforms
Experience using project management tools
