Reporting to the Chief Marketing and Innovation Officer, the Assistant Marketing Manager – Ice Cream supports the strategic development of the ice cream category. The Marketing Assistant is responsible for project management (innovations, renovations, line extensions, discontinuations) for assigned customers and provides support to Marketing Managers on specific mandates. This role works closely with all functions across the organization as well as with customer teams.

  • Salary scale 004: $73 000 to $91 200 (Base salary will be determined based on your academic background, experience, training, and skills related to the position.)

 

How you will contribute to collective success:

  • Leads, as Project Manager, the cross-functional team responsible for new products and acts as the primary point of contact between departments;

  • Executes product launches in collaboration with key stakeholders (e.g., sales force, production, etc.);

  • Manages the product lifecycle for assigned client accounts (launches and discontinuations);

  • Develops strategies for discontinuing underperforming existing products;

  • Supports Marketing Managers in the management of specific projects;

  • Evaluates the performance and positioning of certain product lines as well as those of competitors in order to identify opportunities and threats, and presents recommendations;

  • Analyzes market performance, product performance, and trends to recommend action plans;

  • Manages the category marketing budget (processing purchase orders, invoice payments, and monthly reconciliations);

  • Coordinates product tastings.

 

The type of player who fits in well with the team:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Marketing), Food Science and Technology, or Project Management;

  • 2 to 3 years of relevant experience; experience in the food industry or retail is considered an asset;

  • Bilingual (French and English); strong communication skills;

  • Organized, detail-oriented professional, comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment;

  • Strong analytical, judgment, and decision-making skills;

  • Natural leadership, collaborative mindset, and well-developed strategic thinking;

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously under pressure;

  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and performance-oriented.
