Assistant Manager, Student Leadership

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) is a dedicated team committed to delivering comprehensive support across the entire student life cycle—from admission and matriculation to graduation and beyond the classroom. SASD works collaboratively with schools, colleges, and autonomous institutes to ensure a seamless and enriching university journey for all students.

This position sits with the Student Affairs Office (SAO), which is one of the functions within SASD. The SAO plays a key role in co-creating a meaningful and enriching student life experience through student-led activities, leadership development initiatives, residential life programmes, integration efforts, community engagement initiatives, arts and sports.  

The successful candidate will support university-level leadership programmes for student leaders, training for student development staff, and student development communities of excellence.

Key responsibilities:
Student Leadership Development Programmes 

  • Support the Team Lead in implementing and optimising the university-wide multi-tiered leadership development programmes through curating thematic training courses, experiential learning opportunities, leadership dialogues, and structured coaching.

    • Impactful Leadership for high-potential student leaders.

    • Peer Mentoring Programme.

    • Singapore Young Leaders Programme.

NTU Student Ambassador Programme

  • Assist in coordinating the Student Ambassador Programme by managing the administration and delivery of foundational training for nominated ambassadors across Schools/Offices.

  • Support the selection, training, and deployment of NTU Global Ambassadors for high-level university engagements.

Training for Student Development Staff

  • Support the curation of learning and development courses and programs that enhance the capabilities of Student Development Professionals.

  • Contribute to learning needs analysis, impact assessments, and collaboration with training partners to ensure actionable insights are incorporated into program improvements.

Requirements:

  • Degree with at least 3-5 years of relevant experience with youth leadership development; experience in the tertiary education sector will be advantageous.

  • A strong grasp of pedagogical skills and direct experience in designing and facilitating learning experiences.

  • Competence in planning, organising, and delivering complex initiatives to high standards.

  • A strong commitment and passion towards student development.

  • Project management skills in coordinating large-scale projects.

  • Proven track record in stakeholder management.
