Assistant Manager, Student Administration (Care, Serve, Learn Office)

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has launched the “Care, Serve, Learn” (CSL) initiative as a compulsory, credit-bearing course series for all undergraduates admitted from Academic Year 2025 onwards. Integrated into the Interdisciplinary Collaborative Core (ICC) curriculum, CSL bridges academic learning with meaningful community service, aiming to cultivate socially responsible, empathetic, and civically engaged graduates. Through structured training, hands-on service with partner organizations, and individual and team-based reflective learning, students develop vital skills such as active listening, advocacy, and project management. The initiative builds on NTU’s strong culture of volunteerism and reflects a broader educational vision that blends intellectual growth with real-world impact. The new initiative will be managed by the new CSL office.

Role Overview:

The role of the Assistant Manager is to assist in the development, implementation, and administration of the CSL course series. The role requires close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of the CSL initiative. The role also focuses on creative content ideation, design, video editing, and copywriting—helping the team produce fresh, engaging, and brand-aligned materials for CSL’s digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation and Curation

  • Plan, create, publish, and share engaging multimedia content (text, images, and videos) to build meaningful connections and strengthen the CSL Office’s digital presence. This includes developing original content, writing compelling copy, and editing photos and videos.

  • Drive audience engagement by actively monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering an inclusive online community and ensuring a positive user experience.

  • Develop and implement social media strategies aligned with organisational goals to increase brand awareness, drive web traffic, and enhance audience engagement.

  • Support campaign management by assisting in the design and execution of social media, EDMs, and digital advertising campaigns, collaborating with internal and external marketing teams, and managing allocated budgets.

  • Conduct performance analysis by tracking and analysing social media metrics, insights, and best practices to evaluate campaign effectiveness and inform future strategies.

  • Monitor trends by staying abreast of emerging digital technologies, social media trends, and algorithm changes to identify and leverage new engagement opportunities.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement

  • Proactively engage partners to secure long-term participation and support for CSL requirements.

Collaboration & Integration with Team

  • Work closely with CSL team members and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of CSL requirements within the broader academic programme structure and institutional requirements.

  • Foster alignment across undergraduate initiatives to ensure cohesion, enhance coordination, and maximise impact through collaborative stakeholder engagement and effective delivery of CSL courses.

Programme Leadership & Execution

  • Lead the development, coordination, and scheduling/timetabling of the CSL course series, including course registration processes and tracking of students’ graduation requirements.

  • Oversee the processing of students’ claims, including disbursement and reimbursement for service-learning activities, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and timely execution.

  • Ensure alignment of the CSL initiative with NTU Undergraduate Education’s vision by advancing experiential learning, supporting students’ professional and personal development, and delivering meaningful community and social impact.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 5-6 years of relevant experience in programme management, community service and engagement, or experiential learning.

  • Resourceful and demonstrate strong work prioritization, stakeholder management, event planning, and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement to engage government agencies, non-profit orgnizations, donors, and alumni to drive collaboration, support and funding opportunities.

  • Prior experience in higher education or social impact projects is a plus.

  • Proficiency with major social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc)

  • Familiarity with photo/video editing tools (e.g. Canva, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc)

  • Adept in both strategic planning and on-the-ground execution of initiatives.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

  • Commitment to empowering students through experiential learning, professional development, and impactful community service.

  • Experience in managing programme budgets, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring financial sustainability of service-learning and fundraising initiatives.
