[What the role is]
As part of Sentosa Development Corporation’s (SDC) Strategic Communications & Public Relations team (6-months coverering role), you will play a key role in developing and implementing earned media initiatives, with the objective of driving top of mind awareness of Sentosa and its various offerings. You will also work closely with other stakeholders to strategise and execute key communications for stakeholders, which include businesses on the island and the general public.[What you will be working on]
Develop and implement earned media communications strategies for consumer-facing campaigns, festivals, and initiatives, to drive top of mind awareness.
Identify new trends and happenings within the consumer lifestyle space, so as to better inform communications strategies.
Work closely with businesses on the island to formulate and manage media familiarisation trips that best showcase the myriad of experiences to be discovered on Sentosa.
Establish and maintain good relationships with key media editors, journalists, writers and social media influencers.
Together with the department, you will also be required to pre-emptively identify potential issues and to manage issues and incidents when they occur. You will also be required to manage media queries in a timely manner.
The role will require you to liaise with various stakeholders, including fellow public agencies and the island’s business establishments, in the development of communication strategies. There will also be opportunities to be involved in cross-divisional projects.

Job Requirements
Relevant Bachelors degree, such as in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related disciplines.
Minimum 4 years’ relevant experience, preferably including PR agency experience.
Strong writing and language skills; being bilingual will be an added advantage.
Excellent project and time management skills.
Passionate about tourism and lifestyle industry. Prior experience in the industry would be a bonus.
Able to work independently while also being a team player.
