You will lead material scheduling activities that ensure timely, efficient production. You will work closely with planning, operations, quality, procurement and supply teams. Job Title - Assistant Manager-Packing material Scheduling

Job Purpose

End to end accountable for ‘scheduling’ of packing materials. Proactive ‘risk identification and mitigation’ considering business priorities. Effective stakeholder & supplier relationship management. Inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparation of packing material Schedules.
  • Purchase order issuance and timely communication with vendors.
  • Focus on packing material availability as per the production schedule requirements.
  • To measure, report & publish Schedule Delivery performance.
  • Raise Alarm/Tracker for stock critical materials.
  • Make sure to keep minimum inventory for defined items.
  • Maintenance of accurate incoming delivery data so systems can be used to plan production.
  • Support the Production Scheduler in identifying resolutions for manufacturing resource planning exceptions.
  • Constant monitoring, maintenance and complete accuracy of all supply critical fields within all data systems related to materials for which the material scheduler is responsible.
  • Ensure Inventory Control as per site KPI & have proper track of slow moving & non moving items to ensure zero write off. Keep track of packing material changes due to artwork. Support in effective packing material change management.
  • Escalation of any unscheduled activity which disturbs the flow of production.
  • Timely communication of rejection and chasing with vendor for removal of physical stock and follow up for replacement. Ensure timely availability of credit notes for rejected materials.
  • To keep track of VDP, OTIF and present in related forum for improvement if required.
  • Ensure embaded ways of working complying with audit requirements.
  • Vendor master data management.
  • Regular engagement with vendors to understand various issues and make smooth supply chain.
  • Embed GPS based working.
  • System master data maintenance & support for change management implementation in d-MERP.
  • Problem Solving & Innovation.
  • Ensure timely closure and follow SOP on QMS such as deviation management, change management & CAPA management.

A. Educational Background

1. Minimum Level of Education - Graduate

Area of Specializations - Pharmacy, Science or Engineering
