DESCRIPTION:
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Financial Analyst I, where you'll contribute to financial excellence and business growth. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support strategic decision-making. As part of our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team, you'll help manage monthly closing processes, develop forecasts, analyze variances, and prepare business reviews. Multiple coordination across Sales ops, sales commercial, AR and Supply Chain. Daily execution calls – closely working with functional teams to address day to day execution challenges.
Finance Responsibilities:
Dealer commission management – ensuring correctness of claim as per SOP (documents verification, collection from customer, commission accrual)
Weekly Pulse update - Ensuring the correctness and completeness of the backlog file maintained by Supply Chain, identifying at risk orders and real to go for business to chase. This is being submitted every week to the APJ counterparts
MBR call - Support in preparation of the entire monthly MBR deck for presentation to APJ call
Incentive - Calculation of incentive achievement for the commercial team basis the scheme on monthly basis (monthly flash being shared with commercial team)
Power BI - Updating and automating the Power BI to give update to commercial team on various performance matrices

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree required, no prior experience required in financial analysis in a corporate environment
• Preferred Fields of Study: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field
• Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) are a plus
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with financial systems such as Hyperion, SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication abilities and interpersonal skills for collaborating in a matrix environment
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines
• Experience in financial forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
• Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and process improvement mindset
• Strong organizational skills
• Business fluency in English; additional languages may be required for specific locations
• Ability to manage and analyze large datasets
• Knowledge of Power BI or similar business intelligence tools preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 10% as needed
