About the Role

This position is to support in the provisioning of financial, management, regulatory and statutory reporting and analysis of Amplify Group in accordance to the applicable accounting and regulatory policies, standards and guidelines

This role is pivotal in supporting efficient finance operations, strong governance, and robust controls while ensuring the delivery of financial management, regulatory and statutory reporting, and insightful analysis for Amplify Health. All activities are carried out in alignment with applicable accounting and regulatory standards, policies, and guidelines.

Managing day-to-day finance queries, streamlining billing and accrual processes, and safeguarding compliance through effective internal controls.

This position has to opportunity to become a catalyst for change—supporting automation initiatives, recommending system enhancements, and contributing to projects that elevate financial processes and controls.

Finance Operations, Governance and Control

  • Supports partnering with other function stakeholders in the day-to-day Finance related queries around expense, claims and finance related system queries and issues. Serve as an expert in finance related systems (e.g. Concur, Workday, Ariba).
  • Assist in the preparation of the schedules and calculation for monthly billings and initiating billings as required.
  • Support monthly accrual process and monitor clearing of good receipt (“GRIR”) aging report with timely escalation should there be long-aged balances noted.
  • Assist in liaising and giving timely instructions to GFS for the recording of transactions. Assist the Finance team to ensure finance operations activities and the related reports including audited accounts are completed by GFS on a timely basis and in accordance with the applicable accounting and regulatory policies, standards and guidelines. Perform review on GFS outputs and deliverables and escalate as required. Monitor GFS service levels monthly.
  • Promote and adhere to an efficient and effective internal controls environment that is in accordance with Group policies, standards and practices. Develop and update Business Process Manuals (BPM) relating to Finance functions and other internal control requirements (ISAE 3402), and support in any other control related initiatives, driven by Amplify and/or AIA Group.
  • Support in providing information for statutory reporting including audit and tax purposes, including liaison with external auditors and tax consultants.
  • Support the Finance Senior Manager in developing finance related policies with reference to AIA Group guidelines. ​

Financial, Management & Regulatory Reporting

  • Responsible for the retrieval of required data and information to support preparation of relevant analysis and business information to deliver AH’s strategy, financial risk management and any other regulatory requirements such as MAS / EDB requirements.
  • Preparation of various deliverables to support both internal and external financial reporting needs, including variance analysis against budget/latest forecast, analytic commentary and the preparation of supplementary financial analysis for management and other stakeholders.
  • Assist the Finance team to drive process improvements and automation initiatives to reduce manual effort in the production and delivery of scheduled financial reports to the extent possible.
  • Assist the Finance Senior Manager in reviewing performance against plan and provide analysis of variances.

Other Responsibilities

  • Recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders. Participate in projects for any development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls, and functionality changes to existing finance related systems and processes.
  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by Head of Finance and Finance team from time to time in order to meet financial reporting requirements and/or other projects.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance (Accountancy).
  • Internationally Recognized Accounting Qualification (ACCA, etc.)

Experience

  • 5+ years finance experience, including reporting/analysis, in a multinational company.
  • Audit experience with a leading accounting firm preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and principles.
  • Good knowledge in the preparation of management, financial and regulatory reports and analysis.
  • Good knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word, Power Query.
  • Good knowledge in management reporting tools for e.g. Power BI, Tableau is a plus.
  • Knowledge of how the SAP Accounting System and Business Intelligence System work and designed, and familiar with using the systems to extract and refresh data.
  • Knowledge on Ariba and Concur is a plus.
