NIE invites suitable applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Educational Innovations with the Centre for Education Solutions and Engagement (ESE). ESE plays an integral role in spearheading NIE’s engagement with MOE, schools, industry partners and IHLs, developing scalable, collaborative education solutions, and translating industry practices and innovation into NIE and school contexts. This is a 3-year contract position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Manager, Education Solutions and Communications (ESC) in scanning the educational climate and propose possible areas of collaborations with internal stakeholders.
  • Engage external stakeholders to understand unique needs and to propose bespoke initiatives while tapping on the strengths of other teams in IN-Learning. 
  • Co-conceptualise external stakeholder engagement plans with Manager, ESC and implement the engagement initiatives.
  • Handle external collaborations, engagements and communications with local and overseas institutions and organisations.
  • Assist Manager, ESC in handling partnerships with industry partners.
  • Monitor the progress of stakeholder engagement initiatives, collect data and conduct analyses to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of initiatives.
  • Present the collated data using data visualisation tools and propose revisions to initiatives where necessary.
  • Assist Manager, ESC in managing key performance management and corporate reporting and review mechanisms, including data and information collation, and benchmarking.
  • Foster innovation in teaching and learning at NIE through the communication and promotion of available external educational technologies and innovations to stakeholders.
  • Promote knowledge sharing to NIE faculty and staff, such as through the development of a knowledge base to capture and disseminate the latest knowledge on teaching and learning innovation and learning resources.
  • Any other administrative duties as assigned by Manager, ESC.

Requirements

  • A University Degree with at least 2 years of relevant working experience.
  • Experience engaging external stakeholders (e.g. schools, industry partners, overseas institutions, public agencies) to understand needs and support the design of initiatives/ solutions.
  • Experience in learning analytics and dashboards, and in the use of AI tools, is an advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting reports, briefs, presentations, or communication materials.
  • Adaptive to changing needs and environment.
  • Self-driven, organised, and able to work independently.
  • Collaborative team player who works well across units and functions.
  • Prior work experience in the educational innovation or educational technology field would be an advantage.
