Assistant Manager, Design & Content

The NTU University Advancement Office (UAO) supports the University’s giving mission by fostering meaningful relationships and strategic partnerships with philanthropists, alumni, business community partners, corporations, foundations and friends that result in goodwill and philanthropy towards education and research that underpin a shared sustainable future.

The Assistant Manager, Design & Content, is responsible for the production and design of communication materials for the University Advancement Office in both digital platforms and print formats, to attract viewership of solicitation appeals, with the aim to increase philanthropic support for the University for continued excellence in education and research.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, produce and create compelling video content that highlights donor impact and promotes giving:

  • Create compelling video content by conceptualising, storyboarding and producing the final product that fulfils UAO’s objectives. Work closely with internal teams to create compelling channel-specific content that supports UAO marcomms strategies.

Design and produce marketing materials:

  • Design and produce marketing materials for advancement campaigns in a variety of formats, including print, video, and digital, for major gifts, stewardship and annual giving campaigns.

Support the writing of communication materials:

  • Support content creation of marketing collaterals, including drafting bespoke letters and appeals, and editing gift impact reports.

Support UAO’s marcomms design strategy:

  • Working together with the Lead, Marketing Communications to conceptualise and manage a design and UX strategy in fundraising-related content such that the University’s communications on philanthropy is strategic, appealing, and effective.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Mass Communications, Visual Communications, Graphic Design or a related field.

  • Excellent design and visual marketing skills with 2 to 3 years’ working experience in design, video production or marcoms.

  • Adept at designing across a range of styles that fit fundraising and marketing communications strategy for stakeholders and audiences.

  • Able to think creatively, and produce effective design and content work to requirements of projects and programmes.

  • A good understanding and working proficiency of social media and/or digital platforms.

  • Proficient knowledge of printing process and video production.

  • Highly creative and able to provide design counsel to complement writing, storyboarding, and video editing for fundraising and/or student/alumni engagement.

  • A good understanding and working proficiency in creating EDMs using EDM-building tools such as Kalimna.

  • Highly adept in Creative Design Applications such as Adobe Creative Suite – Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro and After Effects.
