Singapore Polytechnic’s Professional and Adult Continuing Education (PACE) Academy is a leading Continuing Education and Training (CET) provider that champions lifelong learning and skills mastery. We offer a wide range of programmes for adult learners to enhance employability, and we work closely with industry to support workforce development. PACE also helps companies build and strengthen their workplace learning capabilities through training and consultancy projects.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager, Business Development who can lead enterprise engagements and orchestrate strong internal alignment across SP’s schools, Centres of Innovation (COIs) and PACE divisions. The ability to collaborate, influence and integrate multi-school capabilities is the most critical success factor for this role.
[What you will be working on]
Responsibilities:
1. Lead strong internal collaboration across SP schools and divisions
- Align schools around enterprise needs and integrated CET solutions.
- Facilitate cross-functional teams to co-create structured learning pathways and sectoral offerings.
- Translate school capabilities into coherent, enterprise-ready solutions.
2. Drive strategic business development and enterprise engagement
- Grow CET market share through targeted B2B engagement with government agencies, MNCs, SMEs and ecosystem partners.
- Shape solutions using diagnostics, learning pathways, workplace learning and transformation projects.
3. Develop high-quality proposals and solution packages
- Lead proposal development for corporate runs, customised programmes, consultancy projects and enterprise capability-building initiatives.
- Structure costings that support public value creation while maintaining operational viability and alignment with sector needs.
4. Build and manage strategic partnerships
- Engage TACs, government agencies, unions, IHLs and technology/solutions partners to expand PACE’s reach.
- Oversee training collaborations and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
5. Collaborate with Marketing & Events and internal stakeholders
- Support campaigns, launches and outreach initiatives to drive demand for enterprise and public programmes.
[What we are looking for]
Requirements:
Exceptional collaboration and stakeholder management skills, particularly in working with SP schools and academic unit.
Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Education or a related discipline.
At least 5–8 years of experience in business development, consulting, CET or enterprise capability building.
Strong understanding of Singapore’s CET ecosystem and national workforce development priorities.
Proven track record in engaging senior corporate stakeholders and developing enterprise-oriented proposals.
Excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills.
Forward-thinking, outcomes-oriented and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced CET environment.
