This is a Stanford Health Care job.A Brief OverviewThe Assistant Manager of the Anesthesia Technical Services Department at Stanford Health Care assists in the management and coordination of daily operations within the department. They work closely with the Manager of the Anesthesia Technical Services Department and collaborate with other department managers to ensure safe patient care and operational efficiency.

What you will do- Support the Manager in overseeing the functions of the Anesthesia Department and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Articulate and promote patient safety goals, leading and championing patient safety practices.
- Coordinate and document essential and mandated education and training programs for anesthesia department staff.
- Evaluate workflow and processes within the department, making recommendations for improvement while ensuring compliance with organizational, federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
- Implement policies and procedures of the Operating Room Department and collaborate with peers to achieve department goals.
- Participate in the interview process and assist in the selection of new staff members.
- Prepare production reports and communicate issues and needs to the Director/Manager.
- Serve as a liaison between management and operating rooms, clinics, and other departments within the hospital.
- Resolve daily issues that arise and act as a resource for staff and customers regarding decontamination and sterilization processes of surgical instruments and endoscopes.
- Assist with budgetary responsibilities, staying within allocated resources and preparing reports on budget variances and operational statistics.
- Track attendance and performance issues of assigned staff, provide counseling, and handle corrective actions as per policy and procedure.
Education Qualifications- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university is strongly preferred.
Experience Qualifications- Three years (3) of progressively responsible and directly related work experience as an Anesthesia Technician, including one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience for those with a degree required
OR
- Five years (5) of progressively responsible and directly related work experience as an Anesthesia Technician, with at least one (1) year of lead or supervisory experience in lieu of a degree required.
- Required to acquire and maintain thirty continuing education credits related to anesthesia every two (2) years.
Licenses and Certifications- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required and
- BLS - Basic Life Support required and
- Cer.A.T. - Certified Anesthesia Technician required or
- Cer.A.T.T. - Certified Anesthesia Technologist required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $50.67 - $65.87 per hour
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
