Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme (“MRC”) for Hong Kong

The Mandatory Reference Checking Scheme is a framework to facilitate Authorized Institutions (“AIs”) to bilaterally obtain reference information during their recruitment process for certain positions, such that misconduct information in an individual’s previous employments can be provided to AIs to inform their employment decisions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the implementation and ongoing enhancement of compliance processes and frameworks to enhance & manage financial crime detection
• Analyze patterns and trends to improve risk mitigation frameworks
• Study and analyze data, processes and systems for optimization
• Support regulatory compliance efforts by implementing data-driven risk management strategies
• Assess & improve data quality, data mapping and perform data validation to ensure accuracy and integrity of compliance systems
• Support on strategic and tactical initiatives and collaboration amongst Business units and Support units and/or vendors to ensure the solutions meet the needs of the business
• Understand the alignment between Bank-wide / Operations / Corporate Services on transformation initiatives

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration or related disciplines is preferred
• Minimum 3 year’s working experience in banking industry, and experience in data analysis, system development, project coordination or project management is preferred
• Good knowledge in banking laws, operations, products and services
• Well versed of Compliance and related regulations, guidelines and practices, esp AML
• Familiar with statistical computer applications and programming
