The salary is determined in accordance with the University’s compensation structure and will be commensurate with the candidates’ education and experience, within the assigned salary range for this position.

To assist the Head Football Coach with the daily administration and management of the football team as the Tight Ends Coach and Offensive Line Coach. Will serve as the Academic Advisor Coordinator and Recruitment Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Head Coach with the daily administration, management and operations of the football team and work as the Tight Ends Coach, Offensive Line Coach and serve as the Academic Advisor Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator.

  • Monitors the compliance of all NCAA and SWAC rules and regulations. Reports any violation of these rules and regulations that arise to the proper official.

  • Attends coaches' clinics, workshops, conventions and continuing NCAA Rules. Training to be abreast of changes and to remain informed of current events.

  • Assists in recruiting for the football program by seeking out and attracting prospective student-athletes from high schools and junior colleges.

  • Assists in monitoring the academic progress of all student-athletes participating in the football program and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Three years of coaching experience.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.

Special Requirements:

  • Applicants with equivalent experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree may be considered. One year of the related experience is the equivalent of one college year. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have four years of related experience to meet the equivalency in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus the minimum required years of experience. Applicants being considered for the equivalency must have a total of seven years of experience.
