You will be thrilled to engage with Singaporeans from different backgrounds to tell their stories, and work with a myriad of practitioners and professionals from different industries - academics, filmmakers, architects, technologists, flavourists, horticulturalists, photographers, engineers, designers and many others.

[What you will be working on]

Supporting NMS’ Senior Editor with general editorial and publications-related work, including project management, procurement, and liaising with external vendors where required.

  • Edit, copyedit, factcheck and proofread assigned text materials, such as publications, exhibition content and brochures, marketing materials and press releases, digital and translated content, among others.

  • Adapt and edit content for various platforms such as print, web and other digital formats, tailoring the message to different audience segments while preserving content integrity.

  • Oversee assigned publishing projects to completion, including assisting with procurement paperwork, managing project schedules, production processes, and external writers/vendors (such as designers, photographers and printers).

  • Conduct supplementary research and draft additional content such as blurbs, introductions and forewords where required.

  • Conduct image copyright clearance and process relevant paperwork as needed.

[What we are looking for]

  • Preferably at least 3 to 5 years working experience, with relevant experience in editorial work and/or book publishing

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to work independently, prioritise workload and multitask

  • Keen interest in history, heritage and culture

  • Meticulous, highly organised and resourceful

  • Keen sense of assessment and judgement

  • Strong initiative and teamwork, excellent communication and writing skills

  • Proficient and comfortable working with tech programmes, apps and systems, and ability to quickly pick up computer skills and knowledge
