NOVO Health Services is seeking an experienced and hands-on Assistant Distribution Manager to support distribution operations at our St. Louis facility. This leadership role will assist in overseeing daily transportation, routing, customer delivery performance, and route service operations while helping drive safety, efficiency, and service excellence across the distribution team.
The ideal candidate is an operationally focused leader with experience managing drivers, transportation logistics, route operations, and employee performance in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily distribution and transportation operations for assigned routes and delivery teams
Assist with driver leadership, coaching, scheduling, and performance management
Help ensure on-time delivery performance and customer satisfaction
Monitor route efficiency, productivity, labor utilization, and service metrics
Partner with plant operations to ensure accurate order fulfillment and delivery coordination
Promote and enforce safety policies, DOT compliance, and company procedures
Assist with training, onboarding, and development of Route Service Representatives (RSRs)
Help resolve customer service concerns and operational issues in a timely manner
Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs
Maintain strong communication with operations leadership, customers, and team members
Qualifications
3+ years of leadership experience in distribution, transportation, logistics, route operations, or related operations environments
Experience supervising drivers or frontline operational employees preferred
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of DOT regulations, routing, and transportation operations is preferred
Experience with KPIs, productivity tracking, and operational reporting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational systems
Bachelor’s degree preferred, but equivalent operational leadership experience will be considered
