Additional hours will be required to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. This position is not suitable for remote work and regular, on-site hours are required. This position is designated as an Administrative and Professional and serves without a fixed term and at the pleasure of the President, pursuant to the University’s Handbook of Operation Procedures 5-1230, “Appointment and Term of Appointment for Administrative Professionals.”  


Purpose

The Assistant Director, Ticket Sales and Allocation Operations, is responsible for managing ticket inventory, sales, and allocation operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments, ensuring compliance with policies, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development and implementation of plans for managing ticket inventory creation and administration. Assist in managing ticket sales and audit operations. Collaboratively prepare for marketing and sale of events and tickets. Recommend deadlines, seating, ticket marketing and pricing strategies, distribution strategies and creative solutions to ticket related issues. Implement agreed upon and approved strategies through timely and accurate ticket operations setup.

  • Manage Longhorn Foundation priority benefit allocations, special requests, priority parking sales and distribution, digital ticketing setups and operations. Oversee Ballena priority seating and parking setup and management for all ticketed sports. Assist with priority seating for football postseason, neutral site games including UT/OU allocations. Ensure the accuracy of home/away game/neutral site/post season ticket allocation and distribution for all ticketed sports. Collaborate with event operations department on Lot/Garage parking inventory numbers for various sports and needs of internal groups.

  • Manage ticketing activities for assigned sports and events including season set-up, ticketing, applications, renewals, new sales, waitlists, priority seating, ticket distribution, print formats, single game on sales, payments, billing plans and collections for accounts, event ticket and scanning operations, coaches, staff and player guest tickets, pass-gate for recruits, high school coaches, event reconciliations home, away and postseason, season reconciliation and closure. Work collaboratively with Ticket Sales and Services, Longhorn Foundation, Marketing and assigned sports to ensure a timely and accurate integration of on sales, communication, distribution, ticket and donation data.

  • Other related functions as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree. 2 years of experience in college athletics ticketing. Experience with the Paciolan ticketing system. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

More than 2 years experience in college athletic ticketing. 4 years of experience with the Paciolan ticketing system. Experience working with Paciolan Ballena seat selection software.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three-year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).
