As a leader of the Kendra Scott Women's Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute team, the Assistant Director role will provide project and programming ownership, team management, operational leadership, and stakeholder support to Institute student programs and initiatives.

Program and Project Management
Plans, promotes and manages all aspects of all KS WELI program and event efforts, including workshops, series, signature events, founder programming, networking and Student Board programming. This includes setting project schedules, managing event budget, and creating event processes and procedures as well as leading strategy of event marketing campaigns, managing vendor relationships, contracts and staff.
In collaboration with KS WELI Director, identify strategic projects to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of KS WELI operations and align with the strategic plan for future growth. This will include all aspect of project development and implementation, including identifying project schedules, risks and deliverables as well as KSWELI change management and adoption.
Supervise, hire, train, evaluate, and KS WELI Staff and Student Employees. Supervise Full-Time professional KS WELI across programming and communication and indirectly support supervision of administrative position.
Supervise and manage Student Employee organization, directly and/or indirectly.
Support Director with day-to-day operational needs of KS WELI, including office backup support and co-curricular initiatives including:
Leads partnership and development management efforts including:
Assist in maintaining and facilitating KS WELI’s relationship with current and future sponsors.
Assists with Kendra Scott LLC requests (local media coverage, events, KS WELI impact stats, student partnership opportunities, etc).
Assist with advisory board management.
Meet with local entrepreneurs, Texas alumni, and companies to create opportunities to engage students in a way that aligns with the mission of KS WELI (internships, mentors, event speakers, sponsors, etc).
Represents the program at professional committees, events and organizations.
Maintains frequent interaction with university departments, special groups and external agencies.
Meet with internal and external stakeholders to discuss the Institute’s programming and activities.
Ensure a positive experience for invited guests including students, prospective donors, prospective industry partners, and others looking to become involved with the KS WELI. Host guests during their visit.
Ensure integration of KS WELI brand campaigns in alignment with strategic priorities.
Drive brand awareness initiatives on-campus and through national campaigns.
Promotes and presents the KS WELI throughout campus and participates in events, presentations, and speaker series.
Acts as a spokesperson for the KS WELI.
Directs marketing and communications efforts, including strategic direction of marketing channels, advertising, and the maintenance of the website.
Supports leadership of more extensive marketing and communications projects (i.e., video productions and website design).

Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience coordinating programs and high-impact events in an educational or corporate environment.
Proven ability to exercise high levels of discretion and judgement, providing practical solutions in the resolution of complex issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated success in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and navigating matrixed organizations to accomplish program goals.
Demonstrated success in process improvement and project management.
Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as a member of project teams.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Teams, Zoom and/or other remote communication technologies.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate difficult and complex matters effectively to a range of audiences and skill levels.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Master's degree in entrepreneurship, higher education leadership, business administration, or related field.
Strong working knowledge of entrepreneurship terminology, processes, and organizations including entrepreneurial finance and business plan development.
Personal entrepreneurial ecosystem experience and network.
Experience working in an environment making strategic decisions and/or prior success executing business development initiatives.
Experience managing, developing, and supervising a cross-functional team.
Proven competency in developing and leading complex collaborations between companies and institutions of higher education or governmental agencies.
Experience with Slack, Notion, or other project management software
$75,000 + depending on qualifications.
Works in standard office conditions with repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation.
Evening and weekend hours may be required during peak periods and special events.
