This pivotal position sits within the Global Engagement team under NTU’s Career & Attachment Office. It plays a strategic role in supporting NTU’s responsibilities as the Programme Manager for both the Africa Ready Talent (ART) Programme and India Ready Talent (IRT) programme – national initiatives jointly supported by Singapore’s Ministry of Trade and Industry and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). The programme brings together Autonomous Universities (AUs) across Singapore to foster talent development with organisations in India and Africa nations. This role primarily manages the business development and operation processes of ART and IRT. The role also require the employee to expand internship opportunities Middle East and Europe and track career developmental outcome.
Job Descriptions:
Business Development & Stakeholders Management
Develop and grow organisational partnerships to create sustainable internship opportunities in India, Africa nations, Middle east and Europe.
Evaluate geopolitical, operational, and safety risks across host countries and cities.
Maintain strong relationship with existing partners and sponsors.
Facilitate potential hiring needs and interests from partnering organisation.
Orchestrate cross‑stakeholder engagement to ensure seamless communication and effective process execution.
Manage partner engagement to ensure timely acquisition of key information on job scopes, placement outcomes, and programme requirements.
Programme Management
Develop and carry out programme execution plan for ART/ IRT campaigns.
Drive strategic promotion of internship opportunities on campus, ensuring strong visibility, clear value proposition, and alignment with NTU2030 priorities to attract high‑quality student applicants.
Oversee the selection framework, screening, and interview coordination to ensure that only suitably prepared and high‑potential students are matched to high‑quality internship opportunities.
Curate and collate suitable opportunities in Middle East and Europe and reach out to students.
Manage promotional outreach campaigns to increase participation from students and organisations.
Oversee and manage outreach activities, students’ application and placement process for ART/IRT.
Serve as a key advisory resource to AUs, organisations, and students on ART and IRT matters across the application and placement process.
Manage the disbursement and claims process for ESG student subsidies.
Support in other overseas internship programmes and administrative work assigned.
Post‑internship engagement and career progression tracking; Maintain structured engagement with students returning from internships, partnering IOCC teams for career coaching, guidance on job applications, and monitoring of career outcomes to ensure internships convert into strong employment results.
Ensuring conversion to high‑paying graduate employment; provide targeted guidance, employer insights, and application support to returning interns, with the explicit objective of maximising conversion into high‑paying and high‑quality jobs upon graduation.
Strategy management and reporting
Develop strategic plan to meet objective for ART and IRT.
Develop business development plan for Europe and Middle East.
Study and review feedback from host organisations and students.
Ensure prudent and effective management of programme funds.
Monitor student career progression and post‑programme outcomes.
Leverage data and insights to enable informed planning and comprehensive reporting.
Programme governance and performance accountability; own programme KPIs across the full lifecycle—from promotion and selection to internship quality and post‑internship employment outcomes—ensuring accountability and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
At least 7 years working experience, preferably in programme/project management, event management and/or business development ideally in the education sector.
Prior experience working in or with organisations in India, Africa nations and other emerging markets will be an advantage.
Conversant in global hiring trends, economic climate, hiring process and practices and career development for tertiary education.
Good communication, interpersonal and marketing skills.
Highly independent, self-driven and comfortable to travel alone to emerging markets.
Able to appreciate multi-culturalism and diversity.
