Position Summary

This position is part of the assigned recruitment and enrollment team and is focused on enrolling diverse and talented prospective students aligned with institutional goals to the University.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment territory that involves interacting with students, parents and guidance counselors at high school visits, college fairs, panels and college recruitment.

  • Work closely with high school guidance counselors and Community Based Organizations (CBOs) to develop strong relationships for the University.

  • Review and evaluate applications and participate in committee process to make admissions recommendations and decisions aligned with institutional goals.

  • Conduct first and final reviews that influence and decide which students are admitted or denied from their recruitment territory.

  • Conduct information sessions about the University and Admissions for prospective students and families, providing expertise and recommendations.

  • Provide customer service by responding to phone calls and emails from prospective students, parents and high school guidance counselors.

  • Participate and/or manage special recruitment events for the departments, ensuring that events are well-planned and implemented.

  • Manage event budget with guidance from senior staff.

  • Has autonomy and decision-making authority to use university resources, if circumstances warrant change of plans.

  • Interview prospective students who visit campus.

  • Answer questions about the University, admissions and St. Louis.

  • Provide evaluative feedback for the applicant’s file.

  • Work with faculty, deans and representatives from other departments in the University to support recruitment and enrollment efforts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to travel (anticipated time commitment: 6 - 8 weeks).

Salary Range

$41,300.00 - $68,300.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
