About the location:

Steps from the Prophet’s Mosque, our Hotel will offer luxury accommodation for the city’s 1.5 million annual visitors. The new-build hotel will be located at the heart of Madinah and steps from one of the most historic and significant sites in the region: Al-Masjid an-Nabawi, also known as the Prophet’s Mosque. Madinah is also home to the Quba Mosque, which is regarded as the oldest mosque in the world.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Credit Manager to oversee the credit operations at Four Seasons Hotel Madinah. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating the hotel’s credit policies, ensuring timely collection of receivables, and minimizing financial risks. Your role will be essential in maintaining the financial health of the hotel while ensuring compliance with credit regulations and internal policies.

What You Will Do
 

  • Oversee the hotel’s credit operations, ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and local regulations.

  • Manage the credit approval process, evaluating creditworthiness of new and existing customers, and establishing appropriate credit limits.

  • Monitor accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of payments and follow up on overdue accounts.

  • Maintain and update customer credit files and financial documentation, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.

  • Review and approve credit memos, adjustments, and other related transactions.

  • Collaborate with the sales and reservations teams to evaluate and approve credit applications for groups, corporate accounts, and events.

  • Assist in the development of credit policies and procedures to mitigate financial risks and ensure consistency in credit decisions.

  • Conduct regular credit audits to assess the effectiveness of the credit policy and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare credit reports and provide analysis to senior management on the status of accounts receivable and credit risk exposure.

  • Work closely with the collections team to resolve disputes, implement collection strategies, and ensure timely recovery of outstanding balances.

  • Provide training and guidance to staff on credit procedures and best practices.
     

What You Bring
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

  • Proven experience in credit management or accounts receivable, preferably within the hospitality industry.

  • Strong understanding of credit principles, financial analysis, and risk management.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and handle difficult situations.

  • Ability to analyze financial data and make informed decisions regarding credit limits and approvals.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Proficiency in English.
