Busy Bees at Kalgoorlie is seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Service Manager (2IC) to support the Centre Director in leading our high-quality service. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with strong leadership skills who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to the operational and pedagogical success of a thriving service.

About the Role

As the 2IC, you will work closely with the Centre Director to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the service. Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting daily leadership and operational management of the centre
• Guiding, mentoring, and developing educators to deliver high-quality practice
• Assisting with family engagement, enrolments, and community relationships
• Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, Regulations, and NQS
• Delivering and supporting educational programs aligned with the EYLF
• Leading the centre in the absence of the Centre Director
• Supporting rostering, documentation, and continuous improvement processes

What You’ll Need

• Diploma or Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (ACECQA-approved)
• Experience as a Lead Educator, Educational Leader, or Assistant Director
• Strong understanding of EYLF, NQS, and compliance requirements
• Current Working with Children Check (Employee) – WA requirement
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead, inspire, and cultivate a positive team culture
• A commitment to high-quality early childhood education and care
