The Opportunity 

The Assistant Campus Director plays a key role in supporting campus operations while delivering high-quality student services and outreach to both military and civilian communities. This position collaborates closely with campus leadership to ensure the successful delivery of university programs, student advising services, and enrollment support.

The Assistant Campus Director provides academic advising to prospective and current students, assisting with program selection, degree planning, course registration, and degree completion timelines. The role supports student success by monitoring academic progress, providing retention support, and connecting students with university resources such as admissions, financial services, and veteran services.

In addition to advising responsibilities, this position actively promotes the university through outreach initiatives including college fairs, military briefings, and engagement with local organizations. The Assistant Campus Director helps maintain strong relationships with installation education offices and community partners while representing the university in a professional and service-focused manner.

This role also supports campus operations by maintaining student records, monitoring enrollment trends, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with university policies and procedures. The Assistant Campus Director may act on behalf of campus leadership when needed and contributes to the overall success and operational effectiveness of the campus.

This is an in-person position at Lakenheath/Mildenhall Air Force Base.

 Compensation 


The hourly rate for this position is $17.00. The final offer will consider the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience, along with applicable state regulations, internal equity, and business needs, and may fall outside of the stated range. 

  

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s degree or completion of a post–high school program of 18 months or more.

Required Experience

  • 0–1 years of relevant professional experience in higher education, student services, enrollment management, advising, or administrative support.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to advise and support students through academic planning and university processes.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other information systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain accurate student records and documentation.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with campus leadership, faculty, and university departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in higher education, student advising, enrollment services, or academic administration.

  • Experience working with military-connected students or within a military installation environment.

  • Aviation background or familiarity with aviation-related programs.
