Brown & Brown is seeking an Assistant Account Executive to join our growing team in Seattle, WA!
The primary responsibilities of an Assistant Account Executive are working independently, and alongside Account Executives in the duties pertaining to servicing and managing a book of business. This includes preparing client facing materials, all day-to-day servicing of client needs, as well as supporting new business opportunities.
How You Will Contribute:
Establish, cultivate, and manage strong relationships with clients, including key decision-makers and technical representatives, ensuring a high level of customer service and satisfaction. Additionally, build and maintain professional connections with carrier partners and internal teams to facilitate smooth operations.
Work closely with Account Executives to coordinate and oversee the renewal process for health and life insurance coverages. Assist in evaluating and recommending the most suitable insurance solutions, alternative strategies, and cost-reduction opportunities based on client needs.
Ensure all renewal, sales, and operational compliance requirements are properly documented in the agency management system. Maintain accuracy and adherence to internal policies, regulatory guidelines, and audit requirements to support smooth business operations.
Provide direct support to clients by understanding their unique needs and addressing any concerns or questions. Develop tailored service plans for each client to enhance satisfaction and ensure a seamless experience.
Prepare presentations and materials for client meetings, covering topics such as benefits legislation, regulatory requirements, compliance updates, and relevant new product information based on the client’s market size and industry.
Manage and resolve client issues, including escalated employee enrollment and claims concerns. Act as a liaison between clients, carriers, and internal teams to ensure efficient and satisfactory resolutions.
Assist in preparing and executing proposals and presentations that align with customer requests and requirements. Support new business initiatives and contribute to the successful implementation of new clients.
Actively contribute to department and agency goals by maintaining a strong commitment to performance standards. Collaborate with colleagues by sharing knowledge, offering support, and maintaining a positive and team-oriented attitude.
Stay up to date on industry changes, marketplace trends, legislative developments, and new product offerings. Participate in training opportunities and continuing education programs to maintain necessary licensing and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Manage carrier change implementations by ensuring all required materials are submitted on time and accurately processed. Review carrier certificates, policies, and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs) for accuracy, complete contract review checklists, and properly file documentation before sending final versions to customers. Ensure all internal operational practices and agency guidelines are followed.
Licenses and Certifications:
Must have, and maintain, current Life & Health Insurance License for required states
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Proficient knowledge of insurance coverages, contracts, and state regulations where business is conducted.
Fluent with Microsoft Windows and Office365
BAM experience or skills to learn software program at an accelerated ability
Exceptional telephone demeanor
Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
Maintain a high level of confidentiality
Professional Designation specific to area of specialty (preferred)
Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position

Pay Range
$80,000 - $100,000 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
