Asset Reliability Specialist

Rubicon is seeking an Asset Health Superintendent supporting the Polyurethanes Division located in Geismar. This position will report to the Asset Health Superintendent.

Job Scope

The Asset Reliability Specialist oversees the lifecycle, performance, and integrity of critical physical assets to maximize reliability, optimize cost, and support long-term operational goals. This role ensures assets are maintained, tracked, and improved through strategic planning and data-driven decision-making.

In summary, as the Asset Reliability Specialist, you will:  

  • Develop and execute asset management strategies to improve asset reliability and availability.
  • Maintain asset documentation, lifecycle plans, and performance metrics.
  • Analyze equipment performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Finance to prioritize asset investments.
  • Lead capital planning efforts and support budgeting for asset replacement and upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root-cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
  • Oversee asset inventory systems and ensure accurate tracking of asset condition and value.

Qualifications  

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. 
 
The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in asset management, maintenance, or reliability within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency with asset management systems (CMMS/EAM).
  • Knowledge of reliability principles (RCM, FMEA) is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
