About your team:

At Centrica Energy Storage +, our mission is to store it.

Our onshore and offshore teams are united in their goal, to boost the UK’s energy security and drive down bills for customers. Rough, our North Sea storage facility, currently provides half of the UK’s gas storage – enough to heat 2.4 million homes over winter. But we’re not stopping there. We’ve got our sights set on transforming it into the world's largest hydrogen storage facility and creating a Net Zero connected energy hub in the Humber.

Centrica Energy Storage (CES+) is the owner and operator of Rough, the UK's largest gas storage facility. Rough helps manage seasonal demand and energy security. CES+ has increased the capacity at Rough to 54bcf and continues to explore its role in the future of hydrogen. Today, Rough provides half of the UK's gas storage, being able to store 54 bcf of gas - enough to provide the equivalent volume of gas to heat 2.4 million homes over winter. #LI-CES
