Job Description:
NEWCO is currently seeking an Asset integration Engineer to bring solid experience working in their domain with a proven track record of working with technical teams and leading projects through successful enterprise-level software and big data initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Build and improve the model integration pipeline, focusing on automating data workflows and enabling efficient data integration.
Perform required engineering tasks in Data Science, including writing code to transform data into high-signal models, loading disparate datasets, and conducting pre-processing transformation services.
Serve team as a key member of our engineering discipline by helping guide and mentor other developers, researching new tools and technologies, and developing best practices.
Participate in technical discussions, documentation needs, research, and innovation and sustainability topics.
Perform other duties as assigned, such as developing design specifications, participating in the product development life cycle (analysis, design, test, integration, operation), and deploying highly available, scalable systems.
Key Deliverables:
Improved and automated model integration pipeline with strengthened DevOps practices.
High-signal models generated from real-world data and pre-processing transformation services.
Development of best practices and processes within the engineering team.
Configuration management practices defined and maintained for streamlined model onboarding.
Technical solutions proposed to optimize scaling, cost efficiency, and data integration architecture.
Education:
Required: BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred: MS in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field, and/or Degree in Aerospace technology.
Experience & Capabilities:
Required: Minimum 2+ years experience (or MS equivalent).
Required Technical Skills: Intermediate coding skills, knowledge of Python programming language, Regex and SQL syntax.
Preferred Skills: Experience with Python, SQL, Palantir Foundry, Apache Spark/PySpark, and Javascript.
Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities & Competencies:
Clear communication skills that resonate with engineers, cross-functional stakeholders, and executives.
Ability to research autonomously in R&D topics.
Capability to propose new opportunities and solutions (e.g., new AI/ML possibilities, tech architecture).
Ability to propose technical solutions to optimize scaling, cost efficiency, and data integration architecture.
Travel Required:
Able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 10%
