Job Description

Great Basin College is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to serve as Asset Coordinator. This position plays a key role in managing and maintaining GBC’s assets and is based on-site at the Elko campus.

This role requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to work independently to complete tasks with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will propose solutions for efficiency, and work collaboratively across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

For all GBC campuses, programs, and departments:

  • Track and register assets in the fixed asset tracking system (AssetWorks). This will include sensitive equipment such as iPads, laptops, and desktop computers.

  • Assist with updating asset tags so all tags have a barcode and are scannable.

  • Properly dispose of, recycle, or donate unwanted or unusable assets.

  • Coordinate with BCN Assets on any assets to be sold.

  • Research and reconcile any asset discrepancies.

  • Coordinate a yearly 100% physical inventory cycle.

  • Purge old storage, documenting and disposing of assets properly.

  • Schedule destruction or removal of records according to record retention policies.

  • Ensure all location data in Workday is updated and correct.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid Nevada driver’s license, and ability to pull and back up a trailer

  • Ability to lift 50lbs

  • Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills

  • Effective and efficient time management skills

  • Proficient in basic computer operations, including Microsoft Office

Travel:

This position requires travel to other GBC campuses, with or without reasonable accommodation in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Travel may include occasional overnight stays to coordinate campus clean-up efforts and address asset-related responsibilities as needed.

Salary:

$20.00 per hour

This is a part-time position that is not eligible for benefits.

Hours:

Up to 19 hours per week with a maximum of 79.5 hours per month.
