About the role

  • Lead end-to-end asset lifecycle management across a complex hospital environment, from installation and commissioning through to maintenance, upgrades and decommissioning—ensuring accurate asset registers, lifecycle plans and compliance records.

  • Coordinate and deliver asset-related works across the campus, including medical equipment, plant and infrastructure, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and operational performance.

  • Manage minor works and refurbishment projects from planning through to delivery, overseeing scope, timelines and budgets to achieve cost-effective outcomes.

  • Drive contractor and service provider performance, ensuring works are completed on time, to specification and in line with WHS, risk and statutory compliance requirements.

  • Maintain critical asset and building documentation, including as-built drawings, compliance certifications and maintenance systems (CMMS), supporting audits, reporting and continuous improvement.


About you

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications with proven experience in engineering, facilities, asset management or construction—ideally within live healthcare or complex infrastructure environments.

  • Strong background in asset maintenance and contractor management, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and deliver within tight operational and budget deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the confidence to influence, negotiate and manage internal teams and external service providers.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office and asset/facilities management systems (AFM/CMMS), with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.

  • Solid understanding of compliance frameworks, WHS standards and relevant building codes, Australian Standards and healthcare regulations.
