Assembly Operator-Front Panel

  • Reviews shop operations packets, bill-of-material, and engineering drawing.
  • Ensures incoming material is correct quantity/quality/part number.
  • Selects parts, tools, and equipment required for quality assembly of complex components &
  • systems.
  • Follows Specification of inspections as noted. Dimensionally checks and tests production to insure
  • assembled output meets requirements.
  • Utilizes properly calibrated precision measuring instruments and electrical circuit testers when
  • performing inspections.
  • Packages completed components for shipment to customer, including: constructing skids; selecting
  • packaging material; shrink wrapping components/skids; banding containers, printing shipping labels,
  • etc.
  • Performs operator maintenance & operational checks on all departmental tools & equipment.
  • Segregates and periodically disposes of scrap/recycled material into approved collection containers.
  • In performing assigned duties, frequently lifts/moves up to and including 75 lbs.
  • Standing, walking, bending, crouching, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and climbing are all required
  • motions of the job.
  • Operates material handling equipment when moving materials into, around, or out of the department.
  • Receives daily direction and support from the Team Leader/Supervisor.
  • Performs all work in accordance with acceptable quality standards.
  • Performs all work in a safe manner, to include proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Maintains an accurate record of all work performed in the appropriate company format/form.
  • Maintains work area, tools and equipment in a neat, clean and orderly manner.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and write, in order to comply with written instructions and complete job-related
  • paperwork.
  • Electro-mechanical assembly experience required.
  • 3-5 years of previous experience performing complex assembly operations preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Our Warwick, RI facility is an ITAR controlled site. All candidates must be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15.

The Assembly Operator utilizes a variety of hand/power tools to perform advanced assembly of complex assemblies in accordance with quality/quantity standards; trains employees in basic & complex assembly operations.
