Title: Assembler

Key Accountabilities:

• Strong ability to troubleshoot paint applications and match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble sprayers and paint pots using solvents, wire brushes, and cloths for cleaning duties
• Spray prepared surfaces with primer and/or topcoat finish coatings
• Dispose of hazardous waste associated with the paint process in an appropriate manner according to MTU specifications
• Install accessories on the engines according to the engine build book
• Use electronic torque wrenches to install accessories to the engine
• Mask surfaces according to MTU standards with tape, foil, bags or pre-cut stickers in order to protect them from paint
• Position and align components for paint using hoists
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas according to departmental housekeeping standards
• Provide training to personnel as specified in the departmental training matrix
• Perform special projects as may be required and maintain on the job flexibility by providing support in assembly and other production related areas
• Promote a compliance culture in area of responsibility and live the letter and the spirit of the Rolls Royce Code of Conduct.
• Must have experience operating forklift, forklift certification is a plus.
• Monitor painting operations to identify flaws such as orange peel, dry spray and runs in paint as to meet MTU standards
