Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Assembler  – Level 1 to join our team in Saint Charles, MO. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

  

An organization within Northrop Grumman’s Space Systems, Cutting Edge Optronics is a leading provider of high-power laser diode arrays, high power pump modules and diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) lasers. We are a vertically integrated manufacturer capable of supplying unmounted diode bars, packaged laser diodes, DPSS modules, laser diode drivers and complete DPSS laser systems. Our diode laser-based products have become industry standards and are used in a wide variety of commercial and military applications.

Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics (CEO) is looking for a highly motivated Assembler – Level 1. The clerk will perform operations associated with the creation, kitting, and shipping of laser products. All work takes place in a team-oriented cleanroom. Responsibilities are subject to change dependent upon your personal experience/strengths and specific needs of Cutting Edge Optronics.

In this job, you will:

  • Package microelectronic products for shipping

  • Examine shipment contents and compare them with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy

  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock

  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand or power tools

  • Create manufacturing work orders using ERP system

  • Kit work orders and issue needed materials using ERP system

  

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years additional education and/or related experience.  

  • No clearance required to start

  • Excellent fine motor skills, including the ability to handle small, fragile materials using tweezers

  • Comfortable wearing full cleanroom attire

  • Good oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Able to follow written operational procedures

  • Willingness and capability to learn new tasks

  • Strong excel and data analysis skills

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • 2-year technical associate degree

  • Experience with microscopes

  • Knowledge of optics and/or electronics

  • Six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $33,200.00 - $55,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
