Job Description
Assemble I
Kancheepuram-India
To perform assembly operations efficiently and accurately by following standard operating procedures, ensuring product quality, safety compliance, and achievement of daily production targets.
You will report to Production Supervisor / Assembly Manager and follow a onsite working schedule in India Kancheepuram.
Your responsibilities:
Assembly Operations
- Perform assembly of components, sub‑assemblies, and finished goods following approved work instructions, drawings, and SOPs
- Operate assembly tools, jigs, fixtures, and production equipment safely
- Follow defined process flow, cycle time, and takt time requirements
Quality Assurance
- Ensure assembled products meet specified quality standards and customer requirements
- Perform self‑inspection and in‑process quality checks
- Identify, record, and report defects, deviations, or abnormalities in the process
- Support corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and rework
Production & Documentation
- Achieve assigned daily production targets with optimum efficiency
- Maintain accurate production records, traceability documents, and check sheets
- Support line balancing and productivity improvement activities
Safety & 5S
- Follow all EHS rules, safety procedures, and PPE requirements
- Maintain workplace cleanliness and organisation according to 5S standards
- Report unsafe conditions, near misses, or incidents immediately
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in Lean, Kaizen, TPM, and cost‑reduction initiatives
- Support root cause analysis and improvement implementation
- Provide improvement suggestions to enhance productivity, quality, and safety
The essentials -You will have
- 2–5 years: Assembly Technician / Assembly Operator
- ITI / Diploma
- Knowledge of assembly processes, tools, and equipment
- Read and understand engineering drawings and work instructions
- Basic knowledge of quality concepts and inspection techniques
- Capability to handle tools and manual assembly tasks
- Willingness to work in shifts following production requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
