Role

Private Capital Administration (PCA) provides third-party clients with comprehensive administration, financial accounting, and investor reporting services for their funds.

The job involves working actively on the accounting system with hands-on process involvement through calculation of NAVs and preparing Financial statements for different fund types across clients. Perform the review activities of private equity/ REIF deliverables prepared by team members.

 

 

Core skills and competencies required

 

·       Strong understanding of the Private Equity & Real Estate fund structure and the role of General partners and Limited partners. Sound knowledge on the Investran accounting platform and understand the various functions within the tool.

·       Establish and enforce robust frameworks to ensure the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of client entitlements, proactively identifying and mitigating systemic and operational risks.

·       Conduct sophisticated, in-depth analyses to identify the root causes of systemic operational issues, spearheading the development and implementation of enterprise-wide solutions.

·       Serve as a champion for robust compliance, instilling unwavering adherence to established procedures and controls, proactively anticipating and responding to process/ regulatory changes, and ensuring the continuous education of the organization.

·       Proactively assess and manage risks associated with business operations and strategic initiatives, demonstrating an unyielding commitment to safeguarding Northern’s reputation, clients, and assets through adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical conduct.

·       Effectively manage and transparently report complex control issues to senior management, providing actionable insights and driving timely remediation.

·       Cultivate and sustain strategic relationships with critical stakeholders, including major clients, internal business units, global product partners.

·       Lead and drive enterprise-wide strategic initiatives focused on transforming process efficiency, significantly reducing operational risk, and enhancing overall client satisfaction across the asset servicing landscape.

·       Coordinating with the onshore team on Migrations, working closely  with Managers for on-boarding new transitions.

·       Develop subject Matter Expert for PE/ REIF products and business by documenting and developing knowledge base and cross-training team members across regions.

major duties and key responsibilities

Financial Reporting

·       Preparation of interim and annual financial statements for Property Funds including the completion of consolidated financial statements for complex cross-border structures.

·       Active liaison with clients and external auditors, dealing with audit queries.

·       Ensuring agreed client service levels and regulatory filing deadlines are met.

·       Oversee the preparation of regulatory returns, including compliance reports, Central Bank and CSO returns.

 

Fund Accounting

·       Develop an understanding of Fund Accounting requirements for Property Funds.

·       Collection of relevant information to facilitate production of NAVs.

·       Issue NAVs accurately and within defined timeframes.

·       Organize payment of operating expenses.

·       Liaise with new clients to determine fund structure and level of detail required to support striking of NAV.

 

Client Servicing

·       Responsible to provide unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve the department’s performance to clients (internal and external).

·       Effective communication with clients, investors and associated parties on fund activities.

·       Ensure that operating arrangements are clearly established on inception of a fund.

·       Ensure that documentation, legal and compliance issues are complete.

·       To understand the purpose of and gain the critical background knowledge of Funds assigned to the team.

·       To keep abreast of current activities in the REIF’s market as well as industry and regulatory developments.

·       Dealing with client queries.

·       Liaising with other internal departments

 

 

Education and Qualifications:

 

·       12+ years of progressive experience in financial services operations, with extensive senior-level experience and deep expertise in Private Equir

·       Qualified Professional degree (CA/CMA/ACCA/CFA or equivalent) preferred

·       12-15 years of experience on Core PE/ REIF accounting

Eligibility for Internal Partners

  • 3 years qualifies for Section Manager/Ops Manager (This may need prior people management experience, to check with the HM and verify details with HRA/BP from tenure standpoint) or 1 year qualifies for Associate Specialist or 2 years qualifies for a Specialist
