Description of the role, opportunity & reporting

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Financial Risk Assurance professional within our Finance organization. This role offers the chance to strengthen the company’s internal control framework and ensure compliance with Accounting, SOX requirements, and Corporate Financial policies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an effective internal control environment and partnering with Regional Risk Assurance Lead and Global Service Centers to enforce controls and promote awareness of their importance across the organization.

This role reports directly to the Executive Director Finance Spain and is part of the local Finance Leadership team.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Coordinate audits (internal, external, SOX). Oversee and perform risk assessments, including self-testing and training on internal controls.

  • Monitor and follow up on timely remediation of internal audit findings, ensuring recommendations are executed effectively.

  • Act as a business partner and liaison between the market, Region, and Global Service Centers, fostering knowledge sharing and best practices.

  • Provide directional guidance on controls, policies and financial processes to ensure seamless end-to-end execution, financial integrity, and business assurance for country operations.

  • Serve as subject matter expert on revenue recognition and other topics (GOA).

  • Coordination and support on FCQ process.

  • Other related to maintain and enhance a string Risk Assurance environment in the company

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance or auditing related positions
  • Expertise in internal controls, process standardization, and solid accounting and reporting knowledge.
  • Strong project management skills and analytical skills with proactive management style with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple way.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ability to work independently in dynamic environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills: collaboration, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement at different levels in the local and global organization
  • Results-oriented, innovative mindset with focus on process improvement, simplification, optimization, automation, standardization and continuous development.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical proficiency in SAP and advanced MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
