Job Description

Summary

The Sales Director is a results-driven sales professional responsible for growing Aspen RxHealth portfolio of products and services to health plans, PBMs, and health organizations across the nation. This highly consultative role requires the ability to lead all interactions with C-Suite decision makers, consultants, and industry experts, positioning Aspen RxHealth as the trusted pharmacy expert partner. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Serve as corporate champion to prospective clients and consultants looking for MTM/ Clinical Engagement / Telephonic Pharmacy Services across the nation.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies and tactics to cover territory planning, request for proposal prospecting, relationship development, pricing, finalist presentations, negotiations, closing and managing contracts and execution
  • Develop and execute quarterly and annual growth plan within customer relationship management (CRM) software system to achieve business objectives, revenue targets and pipeline management.
  • Craft & maintain competitive intelligence function to support growth.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on market demands.
  • Source and qualify high-potential prospective clients aligned with product offerings.
  • Professional collaboration and detailed handoff to implementation and account management colleagues.
  • Organize and conduct sales presentations, site visits and product demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Maintains a solid knowledge of all of Aspen RXHealth product offerings.
  • Maintains the positive branding of Aspen RXHealth within the healthcare industry.
  • Ability to access a list of extensive health care industry contacts.

Client Responsibilities

This is an internal and external client facing position that requires excellent customer service skills and interpersonal communication skills (listening/verbal/written).  One must be able to; manage difficult or emotional client situations; Respond promptly to client needs; Solicit client feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance from clients; Meet commitments to clients.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

BA/BS Degree or equivalent; plus 10 years’ related experience; 10 years of SME in respective area(s); (or equivalent combination of education and experience); and 8 years supervisory experience; Supervisory experience may be substituted with 10 years of MedImpact experience plus an appropriate external leadership training program and internal mentorship with a seasoned leader at the Director level or above that must be  completed within 12 months in new position. 

Computer Skills

Proficient use of Microsoft Office Products, Salesforce/CRM.

Other Skills and Abilities

  • Successful selling and/or upselling of strategic benefits, products and services to senior-level decision makers in an MTM or PBM environment.
  • Successful negotiation of new sales contracts and/or contract renewals with existing clients.
  • Building relationships with key decision makers as a credible subject matter expert and consultant.
  • Experience working with healthcare leaders, human resources and benefit professionals, Third Party Administrators, consulting firms and other related industry experts (required).
  • Experience working with MTM, PBM or related health care technology.

Work Location

This position works on-site at the San Diego Headquarters or other company location (or from a remote location with management approval based on business requirements). Must provide adequate support to internal clients; be available for regular interactions and coordination of work with other employees, colleagues, clients, or vendors; as well as be available to facilitate effective decisions through collaboration with stakeholders.

Working Hours

This is an exempt level position requiring the incumbent to work the hours required to fully accomplish job responsibilities and reasonably meet deadlines for work deliverables. The individual must have the flexibility to work beyond traditional hours and be able to work nights, at weekends or on holidays as required.  Work hours may be changed from time to time to meet the needs of the business.  Typical core business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.

This position requires domestic travel of up to 20% of the time.
